URL Parameters | Google Webmaster Tools Guide
In this video we will take a look at URL parameters.
When to use URL Parameters?
One of the most obvious answer to this question is when you want to block certain URLs. This tool can let you prevent Google from indexing a family of URLs that might cause duplicate content.
You might also have a list of pages that you simply do not want Google to index. Although using robots meta tag is a more ideal way because URL Parameters tool will only work on Google and not other search engines.
