Data Highlighter
It is an alternative to Structured Data Markup but only Google will be able to detect it. You will still need to apply Schema code to your site for other search engines to detect it.
Another drawback is the highlighter is not as comprehensive or as flexible as Schema code in terms of what you can highlight. However, if you have limited resource, this is definitely a good alternative to adding Schema code.
