SEO Friendly URL Structure
This topic has been talked over and over but it is still very important to this day.
Describe the Content
It does not mean make it long and description. Use simple words that explains what the content is all about.
Include Keywords
If there are a set of keywords your page is designed to target, place it in URL also.
Keep It Concise
Long URL will get truncated when displayed on Search Engine Results Page (SERP) so keep it concise.
Make It Static
No variable parameters like “/?4556546”. Static is the best.
Fewer Folder Paths
Again, long URL does not help.
Use Hyphens to Separate Words
